Famous & Spang Associates, a full-service, generalist insurance agency representing many top rated insurance carriers, was founded in Aberdeen, Maryland circa 1909.

Through the years, the agency has grown, requiring several moves throughout the downtown area until the current office building was completed in 1960, at the corner of Rogers Street and Bel Air Avenue, in the downtown district.  From the current location, three consecutive generations of family have owned and managed the daily operations of one of the oldest insurance agencies in the region.

As was the case at the founding of the business, our primary focus is servicing the personal and commercial property & casualty needs of clients throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia.  Our agents and staff are required to obtain and maintain professional certifications and training that go above and beyond state regulations, so that we may offer our clients the newest and best information available in the insurance marketplace.

Additionally, from our years of experience, we have developed top notch relationships with our carrier partners that allow us access and flexibility within the best insurance marketplaces.
